At Vibe, we believe leadership starts with compassion, connection, and a willingness to make a difference in the lives of others.
Through our annual scholarship program, we’re proud to recognize graduating Vibe members who are already creating meaningful impact within their communities while pursuing their educational goals.
Meet Ashby Muzzy, one of our 2026 Vibe Scholarship recipients.
For Ashby, community service started with a simple birthday tradition.
Instead of asking for gifts, Ashby encouraged guests to bring donations for charity, an early lesson that giving back could create meaningful change for others. What began in kindergarten eventually grew into a lifelong commitment to service rooted in empathy, leadership, and human connection.
Over the years, Ashby has taken on numerous volunteer and leadership roles, each helping shape a deeper understanding of what it means to support a community. One experience that left a lasting impact was starting a manicure team for memory care patients. Through that work, Ashby learned the importance of patience, dignity, and showing up for people who are often overlooked.
Those experiences inspired Ashby to take community impact even further.
Last summer, Ashby founded Humble Humanity, an organization focused on supporting and uplifting the local community. Leading the initiative reinforced an important belief: when purpose is paired with persistence, even small ideas can grow into something powerful.
Ashby’s passion for service has also been shaped by family, especially a brother currently attending the U.S. Air Force Academy with a commitment to “service before self.” While Ashby’s path will look different, the same values remain at the center of everything ahead.
This fall, Ashby will attend Michigan State University, where the next chapter will focus on continuing to learn, lead, and collaborate in ways that create meaningful opportunities for others. Through every experience, Ashby continues to show that leadership is not about recognition, but about responsibility, compassion, and the willingness to make a difference.
