At Vibe, we believe leadership starts with compassion, connection, and a willingness to make a difference in the lives of others.
Through our annual scholarship program, we’re proud to recognize graduating Vibe members who are already creating meaningful impact within their communities while pursuing their educational goals.
Meet Anne Raikes, one of our 2026 Vibe Scholarship recipients.
For Anne, giving back has never been a one-time event. It’s been part of her life for as long as she can remember.
A third-generation Girl Scout, Anne has spent years learning what it truly means to build stronger communities through service, leadership, and consistency. What began as childhood participation eventually grew into a deeper understanding of the impact small acts of kindness can have on the people around us.
Throughout the years, Anne has participated in food and clothing drives, volunteered with organizations like Forgotten Harvest and the Clean Love Project, and helped clean local parks throughout her community. Through Girl Scouts, she also led larger service initiatives focused on creating lasting impact. Her troop partnered with the City of Livonia to build and maintain a Little Library in a local park, and later, Anne worked alongside fellow scouts to knit and donate more than 120 hats for individuals supported by Say Detroit and Gilda’s Club Detroit.
Those experiences helped shape Anne’s passion for mentorship and community connection, eventually inspiring her future path in music education.
During her senior year, Anne volunteered in orchestra classrooms within Livonia Public Schools, mentoring younger students and helping them grow their confidence through music. What began as an opportunity to give back quickly became a defining moment for her future.
By sharing her time, encouragement, and love for music, Anne discovered the impact educators can have in helping students feel inspired, supported, and seen.
This fall, Anne will begin an exciting new chapter at Bowling Green State University, continuing a journey rooted in leadership, service, and community impact.
We’re proud to support students like Anne through the Vibe Scholarship Program and look forward to seeing the difference they continue to make in the years ahead.
