When you want the freedom to borrow on your terms and the stability of predictable payments, our Flex-Lock HELOC gives you both. Tap into your home’s equity as you need it, and lock portions of your balance into fixed-rate segments whenever you want more control over your monthly payment.
 
  • Finance Amount: Minimum $10,000; maximum $400,000; up to 95% LTV; no appraisal required (unless requested).

  • Term: 10-year draw period with a 15-year amortization.

  • Primary Home Requirements: Must be located in Michigan.

  • Variable-Rate Access: Standard HELOC access with complimentary checks (up to 25 free)

  • Fixed-Rate Segments: Option to lock $5,000 or more into fixed-rate segments; up to three segments may be active at once. 
  • Second Home / Investment Property: Michigan only; first-lien position required (exceptions may apply with an MFM first mortgage); max 80% LTV; no right of rescission for non-primary residences; full-coverage homeowners insurance with Vibe listed as lienholder.

Your Flex-Lock HELOC Questions, Answered

You can draw funds through Online or Mobile Banking, by visiting a branch, or by check (your first 25 are free).
You choose the amount you want to lock (minimum $5,000). That portion of your balance converts to a fixed rate and fixed payment, while the rest of your line remains variable. You can have up to three active fixed-rate segments at the same time.
Yes. You can pay off a fixed-rate segment at any time without penalty. Once paid off, your available line increases again.
The variable portion of your HELOC may change based on market conditions. Fixed-rate segments will not change once locked.
