Headquartered in Novi, we have 16 locations in Southeast Michigan to serve you.
Caring for the Community
Vibe Credit Union has two charities of choice that we support through both donations and employees volunteering their time: The Salvation Army Metro Detroit Bed & Bread Club and the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN).
Salvation Army Bed & Bread Club
Our largest monetary donations to the Bed & Bread Club come from each new membership opened when an existing member refers a new member to Vibe.
Our employees enjoy holding fundraisers throughout the year to support PanCAN and have been the #1 fundraising team for the PanCAN PurpleStride in Detroit.
For over 80 years, Vibe Credit Union has been a part of our members’ lives in a vastly changing world. Our name may have changed, and our assets may have grown from a humble $100 to nearly $1 Billion, but our dedication to our members never has.
It began with 10 people and the rest, as they say, is history.
1936: Telephone Employees Credit Union opens in Detroit.
1982: We shortened our name to Telcom Credit Union.
2013: We changed our name to Vibe Credit Union as a tribute to the sound waves of our past.
2018: Our members voted “Yes” to an exciting partnership with Oakland County Credit Union which was founded in 1953 as Oakland County Employees Credit Union.
2019: We welcomed Oakland County Credit Union’s 32,000 members to the Vibe family and now serve over 64,000 members with more branches, more staff, and the strength to serve our members for the next 80 years.
