In honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we want to highlight the critical work HAVEN does and how Vibe has joined forces to support its mission.
The Mission of HAVEN
HAVEN provides comprehensive programs for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. Its mission is to empower individuals by offering essential services such as emergency shelter, counseling, legal advocacy, and prevention education. HAVEN creates a safe space where survivors can heal and rebuild their lives, offering the resources and support they need to regain control and independence.
Our Partnership with HAVEN
At Vibe, we’re more than just a credit union. We’re a force for good, committed to supporting organizations that align with our values of community upliftment and empowerment. Each month, our team members volunteer at HAVEN, contributing their time and energy to assist in various capacities.
To date, we’re proud to have contributed over 250 impact hours at HAVEN, a testament to the dedication of our team members and the importance we place on bringing awareness to its cause. But our involvement goes beyond just showing up. We are continually seeking ways to amplify HAVEN’s message and provide even more support to those impacted by domestic violence.
Why October Matters
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, a time for communities everywhere to stand together, raise awareness, and foster an environment of compassion and action. HAVEN of Oakland County plays a vital role in this movement, and we’re honored to stand alongside them.
